Paul McCartney

Today marks the fifth anniversary of Paul’s intimate performance at the Amoeba Music store in Los Angeles in 2007.

The gig was part of Paul’s promo shows for the release of ‘Memory Almost Full’. Other dates on the whistle-stop tour included performances at the Electric Ballroom in London and at the Highline Ballroom in New York.

Paul treated fans at the music store to a 20 song set drawing from all points in his career and included ‘Only Mama Knows', ‘Dance Tonight’, ‘That Was Me’, ‘Nod Your Head’ and ‘House Of Wax’ from the ‘Memory Almost Full’ album. In attendance at the show were Ringo Starr and wife Barbara Bach, actor Woody Harrelson and singer Alanis Morissette.

A four track live EP from the gig was released shortly afterwards titled ‘Amoeba’s Secret’ and featuring ‘Only Mama Knows', ‘C Moon’, ‘That Was Me’ and ‘I Saw Her Standing There’. Fans can pick up a copy of the EP HERE!
