‘Pipes of Peace’ stayed in the UK charts for 12 weeks peaking at Number One in time for Christmas. The festive season also became the theme for the music video recreating the Christmas truce of 1914 during the First World War.

I enjoyed doing the video for ‘Pipes of Peace’ especially. That was good because there was a strong underlying idea. When we first researched it, we thought we would get hold of the original World War I film, the BBC one. It turned out that there had never been an original film. What we had remembered seeing had been staged, acted out. [...] Therefore we felt that we could stage it too
