Described simply by _Rolling Stone_ as “All Killer, No Filler”, Paul’s shows on the Driving USA tour – in support of 2001's _Driving Rain_ album – featured two and a half hours of hits and over 35 songs. The tour was Paul's first for over nine years, and the first since the deaths of Linda and George Harrison, and in many ways took on the feel of a career-spanning retrospective, with solo songs both old and new mixed with vintage Wings and Beatles tracks. Around the time, Paul explained his reasons for choosing the set he played: “When you’ve got back catalogue, people do want to hear some of that. With me, people would probably be a bit disappointed if they didn’t hear ‘Get Back’ or ‘Let It Be’, because they associate me with that so much. I would actually love to do my whole new album, but I’m aware it might not be the favourite show for the people who pay the money. So I take that into account.”
