During the editing of the film Jack put one of his surfing sequences to the song ‘Is This Love?’ from The Fireman album ‘Electric Arguments’. A mutual friend, Chris Thomas, saw the footage while visiting McCoy in Australia and on his return to the UK gave Paul a copy of the sequence.
Paul thought Jack’s images would be suitable for the then unreleased track “Blue Sway” and so McCoy compiled and edited footage filmed off Tahiti's Teahupoo reef to create what became the ‘Blue Sway’ video. See the final result below:
The special ‘Blue Sway’ video, directed by Paul and Jack, will be screened alongside the film ‘A Deeper Shade Of Blue’ which also features The Fireman on the soundtrack. Other musicians featured in the film include Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Iggy Pop and Jack Johnson.
